Shifaa ("we", "us") helps you understand your medical lab and radiology reports using AI. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have. We treat your health information as sensitive personal data and handle it accordingly.

1. Information we collect

• Account details: email or phone number, date of birth, and optional name.
• Health data you provide: lab/radiology reports you upload, the AI interpretation generated from them, your health profile (lifestyle, conditions, medications, allergies), and chat messages.
• Usage & device data: approximate location derived from your IP address (used to suggest nearby care), and basic event logs for security and product analytics.

2. How we use your information

• To analyze your reports and provide AI-generated explanations and insights.
• To power AI chat, health predictions, and re-test reminders.
• To show relevant nearby healthcare facilities.
• To secure the service, prevent abuse, and improve features.

3. AI processing

Depending on configuration, report interpretation runs on a local/offline engine or, for some accounts, a third-party AI provider. When a third-party provider is used, only the text needed for interpretation is sent, and it is not used to train external models where we can control that setting.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your identifiable personal data. We share data only:

• With the lab/clinic that issued your report, or with panel doctors, when you explicitly consent.
• In aggregated, de-identified form for public-health intelligence (you can opt out in your profile).
• With service providers (hosting, email) under confidentiality obligations, or where required by law.

5. Your rights & controls

• Access & portability: download all your data anytime from Account → Export.
• Deletion: permanently delete your account and all associated data from your profile. This removes your reports, chats, health profile, and uploaded files.
• Consent: toggle sharing, research, and marketing consents in your profile at any time.

6. Data retention & security

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, personal data and uploaded files are removed promptly. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS).

7. Children

Shifaa is not intended for children under 16 without a parent or guardian managing the account.
