Frequently asked questions

What is a normal eGFR?

An eGFR of 90 or above is generally normal, 60–89 is mildly reduced, and below 60 for three or more months suggests chronic kidney disease. This tool uses the race-free CKD-EPI 2021 equation with age, sex and serum creatinine.

How is BMI calculated?

BMI is weight in kilograms divided by height in metres squared. For South Asian populations, including Pakistanis, health risk begins to rise above a BMI of 23 and is high above 27.5.

What does HbA1c mean in average blood sugar?

Estimated average glucose (eAG) in mg/dL is 28.7 × HbA1c% − 46.7. For example, an HbA1c of 7% is roughly an average glucose of 154 mg/dL.

How do I calculate a pregnancy due date?

Naegele's rule estimates the due date as the first day of the last menstrual period plus 280 days (40 weeks). This tool also shows the current gestational age in weeks and days.
